Why do people hesistate to state their age and occupation when asked on Y! Answers?

Simply not stating it is better than lying about it which a lot of people do. If I had to guess, I would say they don't feel it's anyone's business, they want to avoid being judged, or they don't feel that it makes a difference either way so they don't even bother. I'm a 25yr old song writer by the way :)
