Police wrongly force entry to my flat.Somebody who I can't name has given my address to the Police as his own.?

I do not know or have never heard of this person and the police have been to my home three times with a search warrant. Now whilst I was house sitting for my mother they have come back and forced entry to my flat and completely destroyed my door and surrounding frame. I came home to find a big steel door in front of me where my nice new door once was. I cannot gain access to my flat as the council are waiting to measure for a new door and then fit one. In the mean time the only way for me to get in my home is to wait there for said council to arrive, remove the steel door and give me access. I then have no door so consequently can't stay there and have to leave and then put back the steel door so as my flat is secure. None of this is my fault or my doing. What can I do?
