Going to a baccalaureate party for someone you barely know.?

Okay, I was invited to a baccalaureate party for the fiance of my husband's friend. I have met this woman at parties about 3 times over the last year. Hardly know her really. So, I work at the county courthouse and the couple just came in for their marraige license. She asked me for directions and did not seam to recognize me at all. Should I go to the baccalaureate party in a week? I do not want to feel like I should not be there. Any advice?
